Empowerment Café: Be True to Yourself
Have you ever stopped to think about why we all love and remember children’s books so much? My theory is that the content included in them is usually so basic and teaches such important life lessons that we can all benefit from. Consider the quote above by beloved children’s author Dr. Suess… the words are fun and zany, but the lesson they aim to teach is so clear: be yourself. Trust me; you are indeed the best person for the job. Rather than trying to be like someone else, be the best you that you can possibly be. If we would all focus a bit on self-reflection and self-improvement, we would each be well on our way to becoming the ideal human – the person that we are called to be.
Have an inspired day!
Nice share!! xo 🙂
I love this. I think it’s so important to be yourself and always be true to who you are. Be comfortable in the skin you’re in. I try to teach my daughter that everyday
I do as well! It’s an important lesson in general, but especially for girls.
This is oh so true. Kids books just like kids makes things so easy and simple. I think if we were more like kids, in the way they react to things we would be so much better off.
Definitely agreed!
