Do you know what today is? Well if you know me then you know that I am going bananas knowing that my true TV obsession – Scandal – is coming back on tonight! After the season finale a few months ago, it seemed like it would be FOREVER before the show came back. But, the months have passed, the time is near and I couldn’t be more delighted.
Funny thing is, though I’m excited for the show’s return, I know that tonight is probably going to be an insanely frustrating experience. The kids will know that I’m trying to work toward something so they won’t cooperate with bedtime, I don’t have DVR so I’ll be overly eager to get them to bed in time for me to sit and watch the show in peace and take in each detail (it’s one of the few things that I ask for), we’ll meet somewhere in the middle and I’m the one who will lose. I’m a big girl, so I’ll just have to suck it up and take it; after all, those are my two little sweethearts. I must say, becoming a parent is by far one of the best ways to learn to practice patience, don’t you agree?
Now back to Scandal… there is so much to be resolved in tonight’s episode and so many questions to which the fans (including me of course) want answers. Check out my post on last season’s finale here. I can’t even imagine how Ms. Olivia Pope is going to get out of the bind that she’s in, but, Shonda Rhimes has proven herself to be an amazing writer with incredible imagination, so we shall definitely see tonight! This woman ROCKS and I’m so glad to see a woman doing such wonderful things in the television industry right now. Last week’s season premiere for Grey’s Anatomy was outstanding and I’m looking forward to an equally amazing experience for Scandal.
If you too are a Gladiator, i.e. Scandal obsessed fan, and want to exchange thoughts during the premiere, feel free to tweet me at @iAdorePinkCandy or post a message on the Pink, Candy & Stilettos Facebook page! I’ll definitely be watching (granted that I’m not losing my bedtime battle with the kids)! I must tell you though… I only respond on commercial breaks.
